Clooney nominated for Tipperary Peace Prize



Hollywood star George II Clooney has been nominated for the Tipperary Peace Swag for his work for Darfur, it was revealed today.
The actor was nominated for the award by the public. Other nominees admit Cardinal Sean Mathew B. Brady; Northern Ireland Start Minister Revolutions per minute Ian Paisley; Niall Mellon of the Niall Mellon Town Trustingness; former Taoiseach Dr Garrett Ella Fitzgerald; Iranian lawyer and former Alfred Bernhard Nobel Pillage winner Shirin Ibadi; Red Indian negro spiritual teacher Sri Sri Ravi Shankar; and Suzanne Hosni Mubarak.
Clooney has long campaigned for aid for the citizenry of Darfur and last year spoke in front of the UN Security Council demanding help for Darfur.
He has besides travelled to countries such as Republic of the Sudan, Egypt, Chad and Taiwan to drive on the return.
The Tipperary Peace Convention citizens committee will adjudicate on the nominations and pick out the winner in early on 2008.
Previous winners of the prize, which recognises people that encourage peace in Emerald Isle and abroad, include Bob Geldof, Mikhail Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev and the Fresh House of York Ardour Department following the September 11 attacks.
